Thailand eVisa is an online visa that allows eligible foreign visitors to enter and travel within Thailand. This online e-visa process started on January 01, 2025, making travel to Thailand more convenient for tourists and business travelers.
There are two types of eVisas available in Thailand:
Single Entry eVisa (SEV) – This visa is valid for 3 months from the date of issue. It allows a stay of up to 30 days. If needed, you can apply for a 30-day extension at the local Thai immigration office.
Multiple Entry eVisa (MEV) – This visa is valid for 6 months, allowing you to enter and leave Thailand multiple times. Each visit lets you stay up to 60 days, with the option to extend for another 30 days.

The cost of the Thailand eVisa depends on the VISA type you choose. You can apply for either a Single Entry or a Multi-entry visa. Each type has its own fees, so make sure to check which one suits your travel plans.
Single-entry visas are generally processed faster than multi-entry visas, so plan accordingly to choose the best option for you!
The processing time for a Thailand eVisa is typically between 3 to 5 working days. However, during peak travel seasons or if there are any issues with your application, it may take longer.
If you need your visa quickly, you can go for urgent processing. This option can get your eVisa approved in less than 3 working days.
Please note that if you submit your application after 12:00 PM (Thailand time), the processing will begin the next working day.
To avoid delays, ensure that all your documents and information are authentic before submitting your application.
The Thailand eVisa is valid for 180 days from the date it is issued. You must enter Thailand within this period. Once you arrive in Thailand, you can stay for up to 60 days.
In many cases, you can extend your stay in Thailand. The extension for a tourist eVisa can typically be done at the Thai Immigration Office in Thailand, usually for an additional 30 days.
It is important to apply for the extension before your current visa expires. You may also need to provide documentation like proof of sufficient accounts and a valid reason for the extension.
Travelers from certain countries don’t need a Thailand eVisa or any other visa for short stays. They can enter Thailand under the Visa Exemption or Thailand Visa on Arrival schemes.
Citizens from these countries can enter Thailand without a visa for tourism intent for up to 30 or 45 days (depending on the entry point and agreements):
ASEAN – Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Brunei, and Myanmar (by air).
Others – United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, and many EU member states.
Note: You can extend your stay through the Thai Immigration Bureau.
Some nationalities, such as Maldives, Bhutan, and others, can acquire a Visa on Arrival for up to 15 days without needing an eVisa.
Holders of diplomatic, official, or service passports from select countries may also be visa-exempt.
Don’t worry! We carefully check your application before submitting it to Thailand’s Immigration Services. If we find any mistakes, we fix them right away. Our support team is available 24/7 to assist you with any issues.
