To qualify, you must seek treatment from private healthcare providers. They must be registered with the MHTC membership program.

You need two important documents:

  • Appointment Letter: This letter must come from an MHTC member.
  • Support Letter: You also need a support letter from MHTC.

An MHTC (Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council) member is a private healthcare provider. This includes hospitals, outpatient care services, and dental clinics. These providers are part of the MHTC membership program.

Yes, you can bring up to two adult companions. They must be immediate family, like a spouse, parent, child, grandparent, or sibling. A nurse or maid accompanying the patient also qualifies.

If you are under 12, you must apply for the eVISA for Medical along with your parent in the same application. A birth certificate or household book must be provided to verify your relationship.
